Part-Time Admin Assistant and Customer Service

The Language Learning Institute is seeking a mature, creative, and motivated person to fill a part-time Administrative Assistant and Customer Service position. The successful candidate must be intuitive, detail-oriented, adaptable, tech-savvy, and extremely well-organized. This is a person who is passionate about languages, with some degree of foreign language background, and who has a high level of competence in English grammar, both spoken and written. As most of the tasks are computer-based, the candidate must be comfortable using Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Publisher, as well as occasionally working on web editing and digital media.

Daily responsibilities & tasks include, but are not limited to:

  • Assisting teachers with preparation of materials
    • E.g., PowerPoints, creative children’s activities, worksheets, and readings
  • Copying, printing, and scanning of documents
  • Registration and scheduling
  • Writing of memos, email blasts, and additional written correspondence
  • Phone communication with students, other businesses, and potential partnerships
    • Must be comfortable in a customer service role over the phone
  • Event planning, including contributing new and creative ideas
  • Creation of marketing and publicity materials for courses and events
  • Web editing
  • Social media

Availability:

  • Between 10 and 20 hours per week, with some flexibility in schedule
  • Must be available weekdays between 10am and 6pm, with occasional evening hours

French Teacher (Albany and Saratoga Counties)

The Language Learning Institute is seeking a teacher of French. The candidate must be fluent in French and English and have lived, studied or worked in France and possess some teaching experience.

The successful candidate will be mature, responsible, communicative, team oriented, creative,  sensitive to the needs of the second language learner and possess a good command of grammar. Masters or Bachelors Degree preferred and experience living or studying abroad a must.

The position is part-time with some flexibility, potential for increased hours, and located in the capital region. Certification is not required but studies in education is preferred. Computer skills in excel, power point, and word are a must.

Italian Teacher (Albany and Saratoga Counties)

Experienced teacher of Italian is needed for teaching Adults.

The successful candidate will be mature, responsible, communicative, team oriented, creative,  sensitive to the needs of the second language learner and possess a good command of grammar. Masters or Bachelors Degree preferred and experience living or studying abroad a plus. Speaking is emphasized so, therefore, the teacher needs to be fluent in Italian.
