French Language Table! @ Language Learning Institute

Format

This is a very relaxed atmosphere where conversation is the focus. Each Language Table is 2 hours long and there is no set agenda for the the topics. Come and make new friends. We have a steady following so people get to know each other. How have you been since the last time I saw you? Current events, travel, culinary delights, art, music are amongst some of our most popular topics.

 

Who is in charge?

Our language tables are facilitated by our teachers, more advanced students, or friends of The Language Learning Institute who are pictured above.

 

Is there a fee?

Currently there is no fee to attend the language tables, however, we do ask for a sponsorship, of any amount, to help defray the costs associated with putting on the language tables. This is a community service that The Language Learning Institute does to promote the speaking of languages other than English.

 

Language Level

Our language tables are held uniquely in the target language. Native speakers who attend our tables so that they don’t loose their native language proficiency attend as well as intermediate and advanced language learners, Beginners are welcome but are encouraged to bring a dictionary since English is not spoken during this time period.

Learn to Speak Spanish for Kids (Class 5 of 5) @ Language Learning Institute

This beginning Spanish course is for children ages 5 to 9 who wish to learn to speak Spanish and have little or no background in the language. This class in Spanish is ideal for children with little or no background in Spanish.

Through the Spanish Language Class for Children, students will build a foundation for effective speech and listening comprehension. Children will learn to converse with a Spanish speaker and students who have little or no experience with Spanish will enjoy this class.

The class is ongoing and covers greetings, numbers, body parts, seasons, weather, clothing, family members, and more. Songs, flashcards, stories, crafts, and games facilitate language acquisition, and the class environment encourages and fosters speaking in Spanish. Throughout the course students experience speech development in Spanish moving from isolated words to sentence fragments to short sentences.

Learn to Speak French for Kids (Class 5 of 5) @ Language Learning Institute

This course is children ages 5 to 9 who have minimal or no French language background. This French Class is ideal for children who wish to learn to speak French and have little or no background in the language.

This French Language Course for children builds the foundation for effective speech and listening comprehension from the beginning in our language program. This language course is for children who have little or no experience with French. Learn to converse with a French speaker.

In this class you’ll learn greetings, numbers, body parts, and more. Children learn through song, flashcards, stories, games, and crafts.

Beginning Spanish Level 1 (Class 5 of 5) @ Language Learning Institute

This course is for those who have minimal or no Spanish language background. This Spanish Class is ideal for those who wish to learn to speak Spanish and have little or no background in the language.

This Spanish Language Course continues with the integration of self (and other) introductions, weather, days of the week, likes and dislikes, and builds the foundation for effective speech and listening comprehension in Spanish. Learn to converse with a Spanish speaker.

In this class, you will continue to express your own likes and dislikes as well as those of others. Additionally, you will learn how to describe people and the use of the verb “ser.” Emphasis is on speaking and listening comprehension; reading and writing are used for reinforcement. Ample opportunity for integration and use of the language in simple conversation is afforded in each class.
