Relax, enjoy, be delighted and enlightened by these French, Italian, and Spanish themed dinners. Make your Friday evening dining out with us in a quaint country home setting.
The 2nd Friday evening of each month beginning in December 2014, we will prepare a meal for you and take you through its inner secrets. We have chosen both familiar and not-as-known dishes for you to enjoy. Our teachers are the planners of the meal and will guide you through it.
Our scheduled meals are listed below along with the name of the teacher who will be your guide. All meals are held at 10 Ferry Road, Rexford, NY, a quaint, beautiful historic home.
***On March 15th 2015, join us for our Belgian Dinner with Flair. This fully prepared Belgian Meal will delight and enlighten you. Moderator Susan Comninos will share some of her poetry with you; the conversation is sure to be interesting and intellectual.
This Belgian Dinner will feature: Carbonnade à la Flamande / Flemish Style Beef with Beer
Purée de Pommes de Terre / Mashed Potatoes
Mousse au Chocolat Belge / Belgian Chocolate Mousse
pickles, green salad, bread, coffee/tea
Please Bring Your Own Bottle of Red Wine or Belgian Beer to share
***On February 6th 2015, join us for the launch of our Cooking Series in Spanish. The series will begin with a fully prepared dinner designed to immerse you in Argentinean culture and cuisine. Join Miriam, your Spanish teacher, as she guides you through a delectable Argentinean meal.
This Argentinean Dinner will feature: Empanadas mendocinas, Matambre con chimichurri, Puré de papas, Ambrosia, Mate, Café con leche
***On January 9th2015, join us for the launch of our Cooking Series in Italian. The series will begin with a fully prepared dinner designed to immerse you in Italian regional culture and cuisine. Join Rachel, your Italian teacher, as she guides you through a delectable Italian meal.
This Italian Dinner will feature: Crostini toscani con pate del fegato del pollo, Risotto alla Milanese, Pescespada alla palermitana, Castagnaccio, and espresso
***On December 12th, join us for the launch of our Cooking Series in French. The series will begin with a fully prepared dinner designed to immerse you in French culture and cuisine. Join Anouk, your French teacher, as she guides you through an enticing French meal.
This French Dinner will feature: Crudités variées et charcuterie, Coq au vin, Gratin dauphinois, salade, fromage, and Compote de fruit avec crème anglaise
