This 2006 film from Chad, known as “Dry Season”, was written and directed by Mahamat-Saleh Haroun. The films follows the plight of a young man who in the wake of a 40 year civil war in Chad, sets out to find and murder the man who killed his father. However, the journey that ensues doesn’t go exactly as planned. This film uses innovative sound techniques to emphasize emotion and silence. This film is unrated, but it contains mature content and some scenes with violence.
