Global Conservation

All over the world countries face severe problems caused by illegal poaching. These poachers threaten the lives of many endangered animals, sabotaging the biodiversity of our ecosystems. In particular, the rhinos are sought after due to the growing demand for their horns, which can be used for medical purposes. Last year, the death toll rose by 100%. Poachers killed dozens of animals. In light of this tragedy, Zimbabwe removes the horns from the rhinos in its national parks.  While this protective measure should save lives, many rhinos are still in danger and poaching remains a huge problem. What Our Students Are Saying

“The Language Learning Institute helped me to develop functional conversation skills in French. Despite many years of the language in school, I felt at a loss in being able to communicate effectively. I know I will be more confident as well as better prepared on my next trip to France.”

— Betsey Kuzia (Albany, NY)
