Language Learning Institute Founder to Address Siena College Students

Nancy Scarselletta, Founder and Director of Language Learning Institute, will be speaking at Siena College’s “Introduction to Business and Entrepreneurship” class on Friday, November 14, 2015. The course is one of the required courses for Siena’s new minor in entrepreneurship, and meets from 3:50 pm to 5:15 pm in SH-219.

Ms. Scarselletta holds a Master’s degree in French from Middlebury College and a Bachelor’s in French and secondary education from Siena College. She taught for more than 20 years in many different settings. She opened “The Language Learning Institute” in an effort to expand the learning experience beyond the classroom setting. She has grown her Institute to include French, Italian, Spanish, and Chinese. She has a wealth of knowledge to share with those interested in Entrepreneurship.

Those interested in learning more about current and future class offerings for either French, Italian, Spanish, or Chinese, or the Learn and Travel program can contact the institute at 346-7096 or by e-mail at [email protected]

What Our Students Are Saying

“The Language Learning Institute is the only venue which teaches more than just conversational Italian, other than enrolling in a college course. I had tried a few Italian language classes from other continuing education places but it was always the same: the class was dominated by those planning a trip to Italy and wanting to have travel vocabulary and phrases under their belts.

The Language Learning Institute teaches Italian as a true language-you learn by listening to Italian, speaking it, reading it and writing it. We have a text book and a workbook, and are tackling all the basics of a language-alphabet, grammar, idioms, the way the Italians think. The price is reasonable, the pace is great for working people, and the staff is extremely knowledgeable.”
