Inside some famous foreign artists:

 

  • Pablo Picasso was born on October 25, 1881, in Málaga, Spain. Along with being an incredible painter and sculptor, Pablo Picasso was also a poet, a playwright and stage designer. He is very well known for cubism and his blue period, from which “The Old Guitarist” was produced (shown below). He died on April 8, 1973, in Mougins, France, after spending much of his adult life in France.   •  Vincent van Gogh was born in Zundert, Netherlands on March 30, 1853. He is known for his post-impressionistic style as well as his eccentric and depressive personality. Van Gogh famously cut off his own ear, an act of self harm that has been remembered by all. He is most famous for his self portrait and “The Starry Night”, pictured below. Van Gogh died July 29, 1890, in Auvers-sur-Oise, France from a self inflicted gunshot wound.
