FAQs about Our Language Classes

– I will be traveling during 2 or 3 of the class days. How will I be able to take the course?

Since all classes are virtual, you can attend class from anywhere. If this is not possible when you are travelling you can e-mail the teacher and acquire the assignment so that you can be prepared for the next class. There are no refunds for missed classes.

– If I miss a class, can I make it up?

Opportunity to make up a missed class is available; we offer a private lesson of up to one hour to present the missed work at a drastically reduced fee of $68 fee (normally $95). During this time, the teacher will go over the lesson’s work with you.

– If I sign up for a session and I am unable attend, can I have a refund?

If a student signs up for a session and realizes before the session begins that s/he cannot make it, a full refund can be given up to 5 business days BEFORE the start of the session. After this time period, a onetime 50% credit can be given towards another course.

– How do I obtain materials for the courses given at the Language Learning Institute?

Pick-up (or delivery to your home) will be arranged upon payment of the invoice. We have the materials in stock, or on order, at The Language Learning Institute.

– What payment methods do you accept?

Our preferred method of payment is via a Secure Bank Transfer through the invoice. We never see (or store) your bank information. We also accept personal checks, made out to The Language Learning Institute. With either method, payment is due two days before the start of your session, and before any books will be shipped.

-What happens if I am taking private lessons and can’t take one?

If you do need to cancel a lesson, you may do so with 24-hour notice and still preserve your lesson time. You and the teacher can make arrangements for an alternative day and time. Educationally, the best practice is to reschedule at a mutually convenient day and time for that same week.

– What happens if I am late to a private lesson?

If the student does not show up on time, the teacher will wait 15 minutes during which time she will contact the student once through email. If the student is not present by 15 minutes into the lesson, the lesson is forfeited and the teacher will cease waiting.
