World Tour of Food and Wine EVENT to Benefit Local LANGUAGE School

Albany, NY –The Language Learning Institute will host a World Tour of Food and Wine at its annual Tuition Assistance Event on Monday, November 16, 2015 at The Culinary Institute of Schenectady County Community College (SCCC). The event aims to raise enough funds to meet the cost of tuition for those in need of assistance.

“With the demand and changes we’ve seen in our education systems, the impact learning a language has on a student’s reading skills, linguistic awareness, and increasing academic achievements, is becoming vital in today’s world,” Nancy Scarselletta founder of The Language Learning Institute said. “We hope this event continues to support our Financial Needs Fund so those in need have the opportunity to achieve everything knowing another language offers.”

This year’s event is being held at the Van Curler Room in Elston Hall of SCCC from 6pm to 9pm. Guests can expect an array of cuisine from France, Spain, Italy and China—all prepared by The Culinary Institute as well as a Silent Auction.

Tickets are $65 per person. The Language Learning Institute is seeking additional sponsors for the event. Sponsorship opportunities range from $40-$500 and include recognition for businesses and individuals in the community. All funds raised benefit The Language Learning Institute’s Financial Needs Fund.

For more information about the event, to purchase tickets, or be a sponsor, please call Nancy Scarselletta at 518.346.7096.

What Our Students Are Saying

“Planning a visit to Quebec province, I decided to attend a set of adult evening classes given by Nancy Scarselletta at a local high school. Her enthusiasm for, and knowledge of, the French language prompted me to sign up for further individual lessons. Over the last two years, I have come to appreciate Nancy’s vast experience –and infinite patience! — in teaching French with her unique emphasis on phonetics which she studied at the Sorbonne. In my opinion, French is not an easy language for English speakers given its unusual rules with multiple exceptions, potential liaisons, numerous irregular verbs, unfamiliar phonics, and plentiful idioms. I’ve appreciated Nancy’s approach and guidance throughout the course. And it’s been fun.”
