An Advanced Beginner and above in the language study is required for this course. Levels II and III are also available and it is advisable to take the courses in order since they build on each other.
Class Description
This class is designed to help the student comprehend the native speaker as well as improve his/her own pronunciation. Through repetition and use of practice activities, various sounds are studied. This is learned from the vantage point of how the sound is produced and which letter combination produce these sounds. Much time is spent learning and experiencing the phonetic phenomena of vowel-vowel linking and consonant-vowel linking which make the language sound so beautiful and render it challenging for the student of French to understand.
