Format
This is a very relaxed atmosphere where conversation is the focus. Each Language Table is 2 hours long and there is no set agenda for the the topics. Come and make new friends. We have a steady following so people get to know each other. How have you been since the last time I saw you? Current events, travel, culinary delights, art, music are amongst some of our most popular topics.
Who is in charge?
Our language tables are facilitated by our teachers, more advanced students, or friends of The Language Learning Institute who are pictured above.
Is there a fee?
Currently there is no fee to attend the language tables, however, we do ask for a sponsorship, of any amount, to help defray the costs associated with putting on the language tables. This is a community service that The Language Learning Institute does to promote the speaking of languages other than English.
Language Level
Our language tables are held uniquely in the target language. Native speakers who attend our tables so that they don’t loose their native language proficiency attend as well as intermediate and advanced language learners, Beginners are welcome but are encouraged to bring a dictionary since English is not spoken during this time period.
